The COVID 19 Pandemic has affected us in far worse ways than how we can view properties for letting, however, it has also taught us a great deal about how versatile we can be when faced with challenges. Both tenant and agent have had to be compromising and flexible to accommodate those either needing to move during the crisis or students looking to secure a property for the coming academic year. We have seen during this time quite how effective and efficiently everything can now be done online, from viewing the property all the way through referencing to signing contracts. With the ever-advancing technology to support this, I wonder if this opens the gates to everything being far more online than ever. We as a company have just started to map 3D virtual viewings of the some of our properties and the product we are able to produce is as close to viewing a property in person I have ever seen.

Whilst physical viewings are now allowed and it does look like the government will be moving towards exiting lockdown I personally believe it is our responsibility as agents and prospective tenants to keep human contact at a minimum where possible. I believe on our end this means striving to provide the best online service possible which we are looking at improving constantly. On your end as a prospective tenant, this may mean being patient and considered as to where a physical viewing is really needed.

Where a physical viewing is still necessary, we will be striving to be as safe as possible with all members of our team wearing correct PPE and enforcing correct social distancing measures, In my opinion, this is something that may need to remain in place for the foreseeable future. Your health has to come first. Stay safe.
