Matthew Wallis MRICS

Professional Services Director

Matthew is an experienced professional having more than 30 years’ experience in the surveying profession and has undertaken all aspects of general practice work. Whilst having experience in valuing throughout the UK, Matthew specialises in valuations in central London and the South East. He has provided advice over many years to a wide range of clients, including institutions, funds,  banks and lending organisations, private investors, property companies, charities, accountants and receivers. Through his role as a valuer for banks and property investment funds, Matthew has provided loan security and Regulated Purpose valuations across a range of property sectors including both commercial and residential. He also undertakes valuations for accounts, inheritance tax, acquisition and disposal purposes and development appraisals.

In his last post as Head of Operations, Valuation Services, at Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), Matthew was responsible for leading a team of valuers and undertaking and overseeing a large number of National portfolio valuations and major development appraisals.

Prior to LSH, Matthew worked for BNP Paribas Real Estate in London and prior to that, for other companies such as Land Securities Plc and Chesterton where he spent some time, particularly focusing on major valuations in the City of London and the West End.

Matthew's experience also includes annual portfolio valuations; compulsory purchase work and landlord and tenant instructions and valuation work in respect of potential litigation and disputes.  His time at Land Securities Plc provided a client-side insight into property investment and ownership.  During his time, Matthew was involved in the asset management of the portfolio which led to the sale of a number of property assets.

Matthew has also spent over two years of his professional career dealing solely with residential valuation work within Sussex, Surrey and Kent, in particular dealing with mortgage valuations and homebuyer surveys.
